impacts of industrial  operations in Alberta? Are you a technical professional
who is passionate about interacting with various stakeholders on technical
and scientific matters?
We invite you to consider a unique opportunity as an Industrial Approvals
Engineer with the Government of Alberta.
The Industrial Approvals Engineer is responsible for the technical review and
preparation of approvals, registrations, and authorizations under the
Environmental Protection and Enhancement Act (EPEA). In this position, you
will recommend limits and monitoring requirements for the control and
management of substance releases into the environment. You will represent
the region/department at public hearings and appeals, on internal/external
committees and provides information and advice to assist and expedite
compliance and abatement activities.
This position provides insight to industry and the public, and provides direction
to industrial and consulting clients during normal and emergency situations. It
involves extensive meetings and liaison with clients and stakeholders, and

requires knowledge of diverse disciplines, good professional practices, and
effective interpersonal skills.
Candidates who do not meet the educational and experience requirements
may be considered at lower classification and salary.
This position will be based in Grande Prairie. For those not familiar with
